Hi Church!
Have you ever given up on God? If so, why? Why do people give up on God? Did a “dream” die? Did someone die? Did a relationship end? Was it a prayer that seemed to go unheard? What was it?
The circumstances surrounding the death of Jesus, and the response of his followers – answer the question. From a human perspective, it was ALL OVER. It seemed that their hope had died.
In our message on Sunday, I am going to share with you the 4 biggest reasons people give up on God. And why you should never give up on God! Because in reality, the DEATH OF JESUS IS NOT THE END, IT IS THE BEGINNING! GOD TURNS CRUCIFIXIONS INTO RESURRECTIONS!
We are going to learn that it is the beginning of the end of all that we want to end! We did not see it. To wet your appetite and prepare your mind and heart for our EASTER MESSAGE – HERE IS A SHORT PREVIEW OF SUNDAY’S MESSAGE:
- We Forget too QUICKLY because we LISTEN too poorly
“Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee…”
- We Think too SMALL because we are EGOCENTRIC
“But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel…”
- We Give up to SOON because we TRUST IN OURSELVES
“besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.” Lk. 24:21
- We Believe too SLOWLY because we know too LITTLE
“Foolish ones and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!”
