Church!
Do you know how many people in the world have not heard the gospel? 1 billion. And there are still about 350 million people, speaking 2,200 different languages, who do not have the Bible in their language. We still have a lot of work to do! But we are making a difference, one life at a time! Let me share some victories:
On Sunday we will be welcoming 9 new members into our church fellowship! Yes! Amazing. We are growing bigger and stronger every week. We are driving out the darkness! And let me assure you, the more we grow brighter and bigger the more the enemy is “after us”. I see it every day. There are satanic forces at work around us that do not want us to succeed. They love the darkness because their deeds are evil. They are empowered by anger, bitterness, envy, fleshy cravings and the like. Just read Galatians 5. The works of the “flesh”, for real!
On Sunday we will be hearing from two awesome mission partners, the Brittain’s and the Lethbridge’s. They are two couples that we have come to love, a lot! They have some recent mission updates to share with us. It is going to be a GREAT day. The 9:30 service will be followed by PowerPoint presentations from both couples at 11. And after that, we will enjoy a great BBQ with some live music! Suggested donation is $5.
This past week the Missions Committee met and made plans for a BIG Easter Weekend. It includes a drive-thru Good Friday food distribution. Our goal is BIG! We want to help provide meals for 100 household units. When you go grocery shopping, think of picking up some extra things. IT IS GOING TO TAKE ALL OF US DOING WHAT WE CAN TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! There will be a Good Friday Service at 7pm. And on Easter Sunday we will have our traditional breakfast at 8 am, worship at 9:30, and an Easter egg hunt for the kids at 11.
The committee also decided to help Sophia Martin with some expenses for an upcoming CRU missions conference that she will be attending during her Spring break. Sophia is growing in her faith and is a worthy recipient of our investment!
We have another baptism coming up! How exciting is that! Plans are in the works for the day. If you are interested in being baptized, let me know.
Shirts! The shirts are going FAST! We have already sold more than 1/2 of the Faith t-shirts. Get one before they are all gone, and you have to wait for the next order.
God has been using our current sermon series S-E-X to do some great things in people’s lives. Several people have shared testimonies with me and thanked me for speaking on this critical subject! The church needs to speak up on a subject that God has a lot to say about. Our culture shares its message with us every day. We have two more weeks to go, and it is going to be about the X part. There are things that are wrong. You can believe your creator or the culture, but I can tell that your maker knows what He is talking about.
That is just a “snapshot” of the work God is doing at Faith!
Continue to pray fervently for your family, friends and country. And keep praying for the people of Ukraine. Nearly two million people have lost their homes and thousands have died. Pray for this evil to stop.
