Hey Church!
Where did the month of March go? Does it seem like it “flew” by you? It sure does to me! With March coming to an end, there are many BIG AND IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITIES coming up FAST!
1. Our Good Friday Food Drive is only a few weeks away! We need your help! Remember to pick up a few extra food items for this ministry opportunity. As you know, with the increase in gas prices and inflation in general, some people can use some help!
2. Easter Sunday is the BIGGEST CELEBRATION of the YEAR. Only ONE person has ever defeated death and that was Jesus Christ. His resurrection changed everything. It was not enough for him to die. He had to rise. What good is a dead man in the grave? But, he is ALIVE and so are we!
Start praying and thinking about who you are going to invite to our Sunday Easter Service. There is a Breakfast at 8 am. The Worship Service is at 9:30 am and the children’s Easter Egg Hunt in our playground is at 11 am. It is going to be a GREAT DAY OF CELEBRATION!
3. Baptism! Yes! We have another individual going public with their faith on Sunday, April 3rd. Have you been baptized by immersion? If not, this is your opportunity! Let me know if you want to be baptized, and we will start making plans.
4. Summer Camp at Word of Life is soon approaching! Over the past 4 years, we have been able to help over 100 students go to camp at no or nearly no cost. Summer camp is life-changing for many kids and Word of Life is one of the best camps in our country. If you want to help send a kid to camp, please indicate that on your gift. The cost is about $400 per student. This past Sunday we received our first $400 for a student to go.
5. There is a special business meeting on Sunday at 10:30. There are a few items on the agenda: one is hiring Summer Jayne to continue to work through the month of May. $15 an hour for up to 15 hours a week. (I have been paying her personally $15 an hour for the past 3 months) As you know, she has been doing many great things during that time.
6. Missionaries on the Move – please take a moment to read the attached letter from the Ty Perry Family. They will be moving from Las Vegas to Michigan in June.
We also received a really nice thank you note from the Brittains.
7. Our solar panels are working incredibly! We are producing nearly 1 million watts of electricity a week! In less than 7 weeks we have already produced 6.1 million watts of electricity. Pray that Duke gets our meter changed out soon (they have 90 days) so that we can begin to be paid for our extra electricity. And, if I have our numbers right, we have received or been promised all of the money needed for this solar system. IT IS AN AMAZING ACT OF FAITH THAT GOD BLESSED~!
8. Continue to Pray for one another. Thank you for the prayer for our daughter, Emily and baby Liam. She and the baby are doing great. Jennifer is being a great help to the family while Matthew is away on a business trip this week. And of course, she is loving her time with our two grandsons! I am thankful for A THING CALLED FACETIME! It helps pass the time!
