Hi Church!

How many people do you know personally that are 25 yrs old and single, unmarried?  Maybe you are single.  Even if you are not, there are many people who are.  The percentage of people unmarried in the US continues to rise.  It is nearly 1/2 of the population.  And the age of getting married continues to go up.  It is now 28 for guys and 26 for girls.  There are many reasons for this.  We will talk about them on Sunday.

We have spent the last two weeks addressing the sacredness of sex in marriage, now it is time to give our single friends some time and space.  Being single can be a real struggle for most.  I read a meme that said, “I have been single so long that I forgot how to spell relatsingleship.”   Some can appreciate that.   Many older single people feel out of place and often left out.  But being single should not be looked upon as a “curse” or a “bad” thing.   Actually, being single can be a very sacred/special thing whether for a “season” or for a lifetime.  People are generally single by choice, circumstances or consecration.  Most want to get married.

This Sunday I will be sharing with you what God says to singles.  It is very encouraging and helpful.  Single people are not second class.  They can and should be very much FIRST CLASS PEOPLE.   Jesus never got married.  So He knows a lot about being single.   I am looking forward to sharing this message with you.  It is good!
