Hi Church!
What is your “temperature”? One of the first things a nurse or Dr. does when you show up to an appointment feeling ill is take your temperature. Our body temperature can tell alot about us. Covid has proven that. Just walk into some places and your body temperature shows up on a screen!
The same could be said about the “temperature” of our spirit/soul. If someone were to take a temperature of the love/passion in your spirit for life, what would it read? People often refer to the January “blues” after the holiday festivities and excitement come and go. But there are many other things that can make us feel like “blah”.
Years ago I heard a message that I never forgot. The message was on having or restoring your passion for life. Many things can put a “damper” on our “fire”. This Sunday as part of our January series on “Life” we are going to learn about the passion “thieves”.
There is no doubt that all of us deal with one or more of them from time to time. To wet your appetite, I will share one with you – an unsupported lifestyle. In other words, doing life alone. Being alone too much will drain the life out of you. God said, ‘it is not good for man to be alone’. You need others to support you. That is why having a church is so important! A church is a family/community where you “do life together”. I hope that wets your appetite. God wants us to live fully alive, no matter our age.
