We Have Been Waiting a Very Long Time For This… Take a Moment to Remember

Hi Church!
What are you waiting for? Most likely you are waiting for something. Covid related issues continue to wreak havoc with getting even basic supplies. It seems like there is a short supply of nearly everything – from ammunition to building supplies, many things are in short-supply or backorder. For example – We just got a replacement window that we ordered for our church back in March! I am sure that you have some similar waiting stories! It is a world-wide problem. And Guess what? We are not good “waiters”. We all wanted it “yesterday”, right!
This Sunday we are going to be talking about something or I should say someone that we have been waiting for for a very long time – Jesus! But remember this: The world waited more than 4,000 years for his first coming as a baby. Now it has been 2,000 years since he promised that he would come again, and take us to the place that he has been preparing for us. Those mansions must be pretty impressive if it takes Jesus 2,000 years to build them! But would you agree that is a long time to wait? Some ask, “Is He coming?” “Is God going to be a “no-show”! No, no he is not!
Join me on Sunday at 9:30am as we learn what this waiting time is all about. God has a plan. And I can assure you that God will not “stand us up”! He is coming back!
On another note, tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of 9/11/01. It was a terrible act of terrorism that led to many deaths. Take a moment to pray for those who lost loved ones and to thank God for his protection since that day. We are a blessed nation.
