Did you ever miss the Bus… Home-made Children’s Cards Are the BEST!

Hi Church!

Did you ever miss the school bus when you were a student? Yep, I did! More than once. Or, how about an airline flight? I have not yet, but I have driven like a maniac and run through more than one terminal with my bags in tow to make it on!

Or, have you missed a ride in general? If so, you have felt that feeling of helplessness of being left-behind! It leaves a real sense of loss in your heart and mind. You know the “train has left the station” and moved on, and they are not coming back for you. No one wants to be left-behind.

There may be many reasons: maybe you slept in, had the wrong departure time, or you got lost or caught up in activities or traffic. While missing the school bus might be a win or lose situation depending… a missed flight is likely a true loss… and a scheduled ride with a friend can be a true missed opportunitY BUT there are some departure’s that you DO NOT want to miss out on. You want to be ready to go.

I remember when one of my grade school friends missed the bus for our 5TH GRADE field trip to Philadelphia! I remember looking out the bus window hoping he would make it before the bus started moving. He didn’t. So sad! It was such an exciting day filled with visits to the Philadelphia Zoo, the Liberty Bell, Benjamin Franklin’s Museum and home, and so much more!

As I remember, it was a really early morning departure (5 am), and he slept in and truly missed out on the highlight of our school year! But there is a much, much greater departure and destination that you need to learn about and be ready for! Whether you are ready or not will determine your eternal destination. My goal is to be sure that YOU are ready, and you do not get left-behind! This is even bigger than getting a flight out of Afghanistan! This is getting a flight out of “hell on earth”!

This message is going to help you connect some dots with our previous few messages on The Jewish Secret, Daniel’s 70′ Weeks and the Mystery of the Church. It all comes together in this message. You do not want to miss it! Be ready on Sunday at 9:30!

On another note, there is nothing like a home-made children’s card to cheer you up! Advent Health in Zephyrhills asked me if I would be willing to have our children make some cards to cheer up some of the covid patients at the hospital that are very lonely and discouraged. They are not able to have visitors so this is a great way to show our love and support towards them during this crisis in their life. The children will be making them tonight during BLAST. Please pray that they will be a BIG encouragement to them!

There are other requests for prayer listed on the attached bulletin. Please read and pray over them. Thank you for praying!
