Hi Church!
This Sunday is a VERY special Day! It is Children/Youth Sunday! This past summer 31 children/students were able to go to Word of Life summer camp. Wow. God sure exceeded my expectations! It was amazing.
This Sunday we get to celebrate the memories made, friendships started and the lives that were changed for eternity! The campers along with staff worker Abby Boyko will be sharing some highlights with us. It is going to be awesome! Plan to join us at 9:30 am.
And I will be sharing a short message entitled “START YOUNG”. We all know how vitally important it is to start learning and developing good habits when you are young. That is especially true when it comes to understanding and starting a relationship with God. Nearly 90% of people start their relationship with God before the age of 16! Children have tender hearts. And we all play a vital role in the spiritual development of children.
How would you describe your or your parents’ commitment to teaching you or your children God’s Word? All of us fall into one of three categories: Drop _______, Drop ____________ Drop Everything! Come on Sunday to learn the three ingredients that FACILITATE THE PASSING OF THE GOSPEL TO THE NEXT GENERATION.
How important is this matter? It is the difference between heaven and hell, literally.
Lastly, I WANT TO URGE YOU TO PRAY EARNESTLY FOR OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY IN AFGHANISTAN. Reports are coming in to me through very reliable sources that the Taliban are already raiding homes, stealing valuables and taking unmarried girls. While it may seem shocking to you, they believe that it is their right to do this. It is what their faith teaches them.
My sources tell me that there was NO communication from the White House of the exit plan and it shows. Mission agencies and humanitarian groups are in utter disbelief and panic mode. Please pray for God’s mercy for all in the days to come. I have attached a link that tells the story of 17 year old promising soccer stars that helps us understand the hope that was lost when the Taliban regained control. Again, keep these dear people in prayer.
