Hi Church!

About the time I was 15 years old, about 12-15 dairy farmers in our area were invited to tour the FarmLand Dairy processing plant in Newark New Jersey where our milk was transported for bottling. It was an unforgettable experience!

While it was amazing to see the size of the plant and the very tall silo’s that the milk was stored in, that was not what impressed me the most. It was the owners of Farmland Dairies that I never forgot.

After we toured the plant, they arranged to have the 12-15 of us escorted to a local restaurant. At that time, the nicest place I had ever eaten was like a Denny’s or old Ponderosa steak house. This was so much more!

When we got to the high end restaurant, the owners of Farmland were waiting for us. They greeted us in their suits and ties like we were their best friends. They then told us to order anything we wanted from the menu. And we had a feast! I can still remember the appetizers, steaks and where I was seated and by who.

They asked about our families, hobbies, interests, even our girlfriends! They seemed to want to know all about us. At the time, my brother and I loved to play baseball. They went on to tell us that they could introduce us to the Philadelphia Phillies manager and some of the other staff and coaches. They even offered special coaching if we wanted to pursue a career in baseball. They had the connections, and they were not kidding. Needless to say, neither my brother or I were big league talent!

But what I learned on the drive home from my dad was that the owners were all Jewish. It was then that I saw firsthand a divine blessing on their lives. And I have seen this repeated over and over since.

God told Abraham thousands of years ago that, “I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3.

God keeps his promises. He has blessed the Jewish nation in every imaginable way. Most importantly, we all have been blessed by the birth of the Messiah through their lineage.

There are some important things that you need to know about Abraham and his descendants if you are going to understand the Bible and the world we live in. On Sunday we are going to learn:
who is a true Jew? Why are they special? Why are they hated? Why are they Financially blessed? Why should you support them? Why did they Fail to know Jesus? And What does the future hold for them!

It is going to be a great day!

Please read over the attached bulletin for important announcements and information!

Stay Blessed!
Pastor Michael
