Hi Church!
This weekend is the official “mothers day” celebration/honoring. If your mother is still living, I hope that you have plans to “honor” her. While no mother is perfect, we sure do love them!
I am not afraid to say that I love my mom! She is a very special person. While I could talk about what she has acquired, I stand amazed at the adversity that she had to overcome to be where she is today. She had three children by 21 years of age. She endured early business/farm/work struggles that nearly put her and my dad “on the street” and homeless. The bad issues with her thyroid that have caused some life-time struggles. And the hardest, by far, was the loss of her husband way too soon.
Yet I rarely hear her complain. She loves her family and the life that God has given to her. She continues to be faithful at whatever she does. She is highly respected by those who know her. That reminds me of a quote: “TO BE RESPECTED THE MOST BY THOSE WHO KNOW YOU THE BEST- IS SUCCESS” That is good. I can say that I have the utmost respect for my mom!
Be sure to join us on Sunday in person, by way of radio or our facebook streaming. This Sunday we are talking about A PLACE TO BELONG. We all need a place where we feel like we “belong”. It is in those places that trust is learned and experienced at its fullest!
Happy Mother’s Day Mom!
